Research and Knowledge Transfer Hub for Rule of Law Promotion

Restricting and binding state power in the interest of the protection of individual freedom and material justice are fundamental preconditions for peace, security, and sustainable development. Advancing the rule of law in line with this understanding is the goal of projects on rule of law promotion.

As a focal point bringing together scholarship and practice, RSF Hub supports the German Federal Foreign Office's engagement in rule of law promotion through research as well as advisory and networking activities. To this end, RSF Hub staff are seconded to the German Federal Foreign Office and support its Directorate-General for Humanitarian Assistance, Crisis Prevention Stabilisation and Post-Conflict Reconstruction.

RSF Hub is a cooperation between Freie Universität Berlin and the German Federal Foreign Office and is directed by Dr. Gregor Walter-Drop and Prof. Dr. Matthias Kötter.
