Strategies and Implementation Options for New Requirements concerning Equal Opportunity Policies at German Higher Education Institutions

The Good Diversity project reflects on the debates at the higher education policy level surrounding diversity and diversity management. The project links diversity with efforts to fight discrimination. Its aim is to contribute to the advancement of equal treatment and equality of opportunity at higher education institutions in Germany. As part of this project, the basics of practical implementation are being developed and laid out and provided to interested universities and other higher education institutions in the form of informational brochures to support their actions.

This project is being implemented by the chief gender equality officer of Freie Universität Berlin with support from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the area of “Strategies for Achieving Equal Opportunity for Women in Education and Research” under support code 01FP1452.
