Living and Working in Germany for International Students

The Career Service aims to support international students at Freie Universität by providing information, advice, and events concerning career planning, internships, and applying for positions. Completing a degree opens up a wealth of career options on the German labor market.

If you are looking for an internship or an entry-level job, you have the opportunity to join the workshops, talks, and presentations about the searching and application process we offer. In groups of not more than 15 participants, you can learn where to find suitable listings, how to interpret job postings correctly, and what you should definitely keep in mind when applying for open positions. You will also learn how to present yourself effectively during job interviews and how to give authentic and persuasive responses to questions. You will be guided through this process by experienced HR specialists and coaches, whose own lives and careers have been shaped by international experiences.

The links and information we have compiled in this section provide information on working and starting a career in Germany.
